Eric Claridge
I am a self-taught artist and musician living and working in Chicago. Born in Memphis, I attended New York University in the early 80’s. After leaving college I (eventually) moved to Chicago and joined the band Shrimp Boat in 1986 and was later a founding member of the band The Sea and Cake. My work was featured prominently on several Sea and Cake albums. My water colors, gouaches and oil paintings have been exhibited in Chicago, Tokyo, Kyoto, London, Melbourne, Lille and Paris. I also had a semi regular comic illustration spot that ran in the Chicago Reader in 1998-1999.
